The Magic School Bus takes Ms. Frizzle and her class on a trip around the United States looking for bats. During the trip the class learns many amazing facts about bats, including what they eat, where they live, how echolocation works, and more.

When Ms. Frizzle ordered skeleton costumes for us, some of the bones were missing. We headed for the Hugh Mann Costume Co. to look for them. There we learned all about our skeletons, why we need them, what makes them grow and what different bones are for.

To cheer up her classmates after a gloomy week, Nancy thinks of a new celebration, Fancy Day, but when the day arrives Ms. Glass shows up without her fancy dress, and the class must think of a way to make her as elegant as everyone else.

Embarking on a field trip to an apple-picking farm, Nancy enjoys the fancy autumn colors she observes in the orchard and resolves to find a perfect Gala apple for her father but fears the fruit of her choice is too far out of reach.

When Nancy's class hosts a swap-and-shop, Nancy finds the perfect tutu, but her mother tells her she already has too many tutus.

When Frenchy gets in trouble one too many times, the Clancys decide it's time for puppy school.

Joining her new fifth-grade friend, Violet, for Monday reading sessions, Nancy is upset when a few Mondays go by and they are unable to see each other.
