Description
Steven Train is, and has long been, a thief, a card sharp and a swindler. He has gone by many names and when he is sought out by another crook, John Ranier, with a proposal to undertake a very dangerous mission for a wealthy rancher, Train agrees to make the attempt. The understanding is that he will double-cross Comstock, the rancher, and split any money entrusted to him with Ranier and disappear. When a detective shows up trying to capture Train for crimes committed by him under various aliases, Train has a change of heart and must persuade Comstock that he should be trusted with the mission, double-cross Rainier and actually try to execute faithfully what Comstock wants of him.
