1970, Mexico City. Maite works as a secretary, but she only lives for one thing: the next installment of "Secret Romance". Student protests and political instability besiege the city, but she escapes from it all thanks to these wonderful stories of passion and risk. The next door neighbor, an attractive art student named Leonora, seems to lead a life full of intrigue and romance, something Maite envies. And when she disappears under strange circumstances, Maite can't help but start looking for her, immersing herself in the secret life of her neighbor; a life of radical and dissident students. But there is someone else who is looking for Leonora. She does it on behalf of her boss, a shadowy person who sends gangs of thugs to crush political activists. Elvis is an eccentric criminal who dreams of escaping his own life: he is averse to violence and loves old movies and rock and roll. While Elvis searches for the whereabouts of the missing woman, he begins to observe Maite; and he becomes more and more obsessed with that woman who shares his love for music and the loneliness of his heart. When Maite and Elvis get closer to the truth after Leonora's disappearance, they will have to face the dangers that threaten to destroy their lives. lives, with thugs, government agents and Russian spies trying to protect certain secrets at gunpoint.
