A comedy-adventure that centers on Blu, a flightless macaw who acts more human than bird. When Blu, the last of his kind, discovers there's another, and that she's a she, he embarks on an adventure to magical Rio. There he meets Jewel and a menagerie of vivid characters who help Blu fulfill his dream and learn to fly.

On an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds; or almost entirely because in this paradise, Red, a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck, and the volatile Bomb have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

All is calm in Old Man Fookwire's yard until new neighbors, Little Old Lady Hu and her cat, Muffins, move in next door. Muffins is one mean dude! He terrorizes the birds, interrupts Fookwire's painting, and ties the squirrels' tails together. Fookwire is upset, but not nearly as upset as the squirrels, who devise an ingenious plan to stop Muffins cold.

Leo, Quincy, Annie, June and Rocket travel to Russia to help save Rocket's new friend, Firebird! Firebird is a mysterious bird who sprinkles magic everywhere she flies. This magic brings beauty and music to the world. But a heartless ogre captures Firebird and locks her in a cage.
