Bunny, Kyoto, and Jin enter the town of Fengmen, but rapidly find themselves surrounded by angry locals, including a thief whom Bunny tricked earlier. Our heroes (well, protagonists) quickly start kicking tail, but darn it, at least one of these guys just won't stay dead!

Having returned to the real world, (such as it is), Bunny manages to reunite with Jin and two assassins who are no longer out to kill her, and she does NOT want that moment spoiled by an evil entity controlling an entire town's minds to get Jin. Then she learns said entity has hurt Kyoto. NOW she's mad.

The monks at Flame Spire Monastery are all set to light their fires to summon spirits in their defense. Bunny knows the spires are rigged, though...it's what she would do.
